Elbow Park Residents Association is hosting an online Demystifying Designation Workshop, May 26, 2022 @ 7pm.  

This event is for you whether you are an owner of a century home, a mid-century gem or interested in how Calgary’s heritage gets protected. Learn about historical designation from heritage experts along with homeowners sharing their designation experience.  

Guest speakers include Cynthia Klaassen from Heritage Calgary, Jeffry Haggett from the City of Calgary Heritage Planning Team, and Halyna Tataryn from Tataryn Group Real Estate.  

You will learn: 

• What is historical designation and its pros & cons 
• Designation criteria and how the process works 
• What is fact – Yes, City Heritage Planners help throughout the process & What is fiction – No, designating a property is not overly restrictive 
• The value of heritage properties in the market
