We Need Your Help

Elbow Park is the heart of our community. The park is bustling with people at all times of the day. The clubhouse hosts everything from kids birthdays, wine and cheese nights, community events such as pumpkin carving, to workshops and exercise classes.  The park is full of kids, families, dog walkers and friends. There are sports happening all year round for all age groups. It brings us together and keeps us connected.  We need your support to improve and enhance both the park and the new club house to keep them attractive and functional.

EPRA has received a matching grant from the City of Calgary Parks Foundation to build a much needed storage shed. We need to raise $125,000 to complete the project and qualify for the full grant.

Recent Highlights

  • New Basketball Court  The basketball courts opened. They are full with residents of all ages playing basketball, ball hockey and other sports.
  • Clubhouse Dreams  The clubhouse was outfitted for acoustical panels, WiFi, new tables & chairs and kitchen essentials allowing us to rent it out to a broader audience.
  • Movie in the Park  500 of you showed up to enjoy this annual event. Thank you to our incredible sponsors and team of volunteers that made this event such a huge success! 
  • Summer Solstice  Held last June in order to celebrate the resiliency of Elbow Park residents, this event had great weather, great food and great company. Thank you to our incredible sponsors and committee that made this event possible! 
  • A Green Makeover Thanks to a very generous donation from a resident family, our neglected trees were given a serious prune and clean-up. We love how open and inviting our park looks now - thank you to our generous donor!

Thank you Tom Plunkett and Raymond James for your incredible support of our events and park maintenance. The new hose for our rinks is well used and appreciated! 

Our partnership with Telus provided wrapping to two of our three new fibre optic boxes, a $5000 donation to our basketball court and they installed motion lights onto their building to help with safety in the alleyway. Thank you Telus!

The Glencoe Club our longtime partner, The Glencoe Club, continues to support our community by typesetting and printing 1600 newsletters quarterly, providing the food, staff and grills for the Stampede Breakfast and shovelling the walks along a portion of Elbow Drive near the bridge. We enjoy a strong relationship & they sub-lease the Clubhouse and Clay courts to assist us in operating the EPTC for both Glencoe members, residents and the general public.
